First time on a swing

Took these yesterday at the park.

Ooohhhh

I know I missed Mae's 9-month old blog. At her checkup she was about 20lbs and 29 inches tall.  The doctor says she is in the 90th percentile for height.  She's our big tall Mae-Mae. 

Just last week she finally started crawling.  I think I mentioned that on the main blog as well.  She can go really fast now.

A couple days ago she learned a new syllable: "oh".  She says it over and over - "Ooooohhhh.  ooohhhhh." or sometimes it evolves into "ooohhhhwowwowwowow"  Anyway, she puckers up her lips and makes the cutest face when she says it, which made me mimic her, and that's when I found out she will say "oh" back to me if I say it first. 

8 months old

Still scooting, not crawling yet.  But better keep those floors clean, because she can drag herself around really fast!  We're tempted to put a mop head on her belly.

Mae loves to jump in her jumper toy (formerly Libby's jumper toy).  She can really get going in that thing and thinks it is so fun!  She also splashes like crazy in her bath.

Lots of naps still.

She is a lot more vocal now, and will have long "conversations" with you if you let her.  She can be quite "impossible" during a diaper change (will not sit still for 1 second),  but is still the happiest baby ever!

7 months old

Better late than never...Mae turned 7 months old a couple days ago.  She is now teaching herself to crawl.  She scoots or drags herself across the floor.  She can go pretty fast if she sees something she wants really bad, like my cell phone.  She pushes up onto her knees and rocks, but hasn't yet figured out how to pick up her knees to move forward.

2 weeks ago she added banana to her diet.  It was just as big of a hit as the rice cereal.

She yells a lot.  Not cries...yells.  She just likes to use her voice, and make sure we can hear her nice and loud.  She's starting to use her voice to make sounds.  Like Da and Ga.
